Manon et Alex

French sculptor. Manon Perrier was born in Sarlat (24) on September 24, 1987 and Alexandre Guilmart in Angers (49) on May 4, 1984. The young artists have an atypical and complementary artistic career. Manon comes from a family of creative artisans, this which led her very early to conceive herself. Born in a natural setting, she divides her life between her love of horses and her passion for art. A versatile and self-taught artist, she made her living from her creations (earth sculptures, cement, painting and live shows) for 10 years, before learning welding. Alex has been passionate about drawing since childhood. After studying comics at the Pivaut school in Nantes, he traveled through as many cities as he did jobs (Croupier, magician, illustrator, tattooist) before discovering sculpture near his hometown. Then one day, the future couple meets: Alex participates in a sculpture project with a collective, Manon exhibits at that time. Then Manon teaches Alex how to weld and Alex enters Manon's world. From then on, they never left each other's side. For 3 years, they created tirelessly, feeding off each other; their creativity explodes. They develop an original and unique approach to metal, diverting tools to serve their practice. They mix their ideas and knowledge until they become one. They very quickly signed their works “Alex & Manon”.
