*Manon Germain*

Biography 2026
At 50, she began to paint. Canadian painter, Manon describes her approach as realistic and hyperrealistic, with an elegant style. She has been painting for 16 years now. She love what she do. She is always looking for a spectacular subject; with each photo I take, I evolve and discover. A journey of discovery. She seeks realism in her canvases: the transparency of glass, translucent surfaces, reflections, and vibrant colours even if they evoke photographs. Her goal is not to reproduce photography, but to create an illusion of perspective, to capture a precise moment, impossible to convey in a photograph. She creates her own photomontages for her paintings, playing with the mirror effect. She chooses colours and composition to create an illusion of presence and depth. Many of the objects she chooses are linked to light, reflections, and transparency. She aims to create a mysterious visual effect. Her technique is inspired by the Renaissance, that of "living colours." Oil painting offers her great freedom of execution; The glazes she uses allow her to play with the effects of distance and volume. She participated in the IGOR International Guild of Realism competition, where she was a finalist for the painting "Vivid Intimacy." There were 800 participants, and she was among the finalists. She also participates in other competitions. She received an honourable mention in 2023 for her work "Lightning Space Time." That same year, she received an Artistic Excellence Award from the Circle Foundation for Art and won the Spotlight magazine cover competition.
