Painter from Azerbaijan

Zakir Akhmedov was born in 1955 in Baku, Azerbaijan. In 1978, he graduated from the Azim Azimzade Azerbaijan State Art School, Department of Sculpture. In 1988, he graduated from the M. Aliyev Azerbaijan State Art Institute, Department of Sculpture. From 1978 to the present, he has held exhibitions in many countries. Member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the USSR since 1989. Author of many monuments. In 2005, he was awarded the "Humay" Prize. Zakir Akhmedov's sculptures are in private collections worldwide.
